William Joseph Michael Jr.

William (Bill) Joseph Michael Jr. passed away at his home in Festus, MO on December 17, 2022. He was age 78. He was born April 5, 1944 in Saint Louis, MO to parents William Michael Sr. and Evelyn Michael. On August 29th, 1964 he married the love of his life, Judith Michael. Bill was proud to be an IBEW 1439 union member. He worked for Union Electric Company as an Electrical Lineman for over 30 years. After retirement, Bill enjoyed traveling, gardening, target shooting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an outgoing man who never met a stranger. He loved animals and was friends with all of the neighborhood dogs.

He is survived by his wife Judith Michael, son John and Sheri Michael of Old Monroe, MO, daughter Cheryl and Todd Shepherd of Arkansas City, KS, and three grandchildren Rebecca L. Michael, Meaghan A. Michael, and Jacob M. Shepherd.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents William J. Michael Sr. and Evelyn P. Michael, and his sister Shirley A. Stolze.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 05, 2022 at 12:00 pm Noon at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Highway M, Barnhart, Missouri. All friends and family are invited to attend. Line trucks and line boots are welcome.
