Vance Childress

Vance Alvin Childress Age 86, most recently residing in Festus, Missouri, passed away on May 15, 2024 at Superior Manor Of Festus. Born February 23, 1938 in De Soto, MO he was the son of Elmer and Alice Childress (nee Pigg). Vance was a Airforce veteran. He greatly enjoyed playing his guitar, and singing for several nursing homes, he also won awards for his volunteering his time for playing for those residence at the nursing homes. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro, Missouri where he sung in the church choir. He enjoyed going on vacations especially going to Branson loved the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.


Survived by 

His Sisters- Lousie Brennan, Viola Hinch, Barbara Amsden, and Marilyn Hill.

Preceded in death by

His Siblings-Lucille Bovaer, Marie Shoop, Dale Childress and Paul Childress
