Richard S. Sylvester 73, of Hillsboro Mo. Passed away on Sunday April 9, 2017 at his residence in Hillsboro Mo. He was born April 27, 1943 in Albia Iowa. The son of the late Clarence F. “Larry” Sylvester and the late Jessie I. Sylvester (nee Elswick). He was a U.S. Navy Veteran (Oct 63- Oct 67). Retired from General Motors after 40 plus years of service.  Received his education in Albia Iowa. Married Donna Lashley (nee Wilcox) April 28, 1979 at Sandy Baptist Church, Hillsboro Mo.

Wife- Donna L. Sylvester (nee Wilcox) of Hillsboro Mo.

Stepdaughter- Kimberly S. Lashley-Drabant of Hillsboro Mo.

Stepdaughter-Karen L. Lashley-Coleman of Hillsboro Mo.

Sister- Donna K. (Jerry) Raymie of Knoxville Iowa

Sister- Sharon L. (Larry) Bettis of Centerville Iowa

Grandchildren- Lauren Lewis and Hannah Drabant, Kevin Payne Jr. and Jessica Coleman.

Great Grandchildren- Brady Coleman and Owen Blume

Nephews and Nieces- Mark and David Raymie, Andrea Wyman (nee Bettis) and Scott, Amanda Bettis and Jennifer Hastings (nee Bettis)

Visitation will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Inc. 103 Fourth St. Hillsboro Mo. 63050
