Randell "Opa" Dee Wilson

April 18, 1933 — March 28, 2022

Randell "Opa" Dee Wilson

Age 88, peacefully passed away on March 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 18, 1933, in Hickman, Kentucky. Son of the late Rufus Wilson and the late Irene (nee Terry) Wilson. Randell was an Army and Air Force Veteran; his occupation was Mapping for the Government.

Randell loved song artists such as Jonny Cash, Dolly Parton, ABBA, Neil Diamond, and Mario Lanza. In his spare time he read historical books about WWII and Saint Louis. He loved figure skating at Steinbergs, the Saint Louis Cardinals, Grant's Farm, FaceTime, eating delicious pastries and especially tracking everyone's location on Find Friends.

The simple things are what he enjoyed the most. He made sure everyone got along; in a soft voice he'd say "A dollar to who ever gives in first."

Above everything - he loved his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Elsbeth Bertha (nee Wittenberg) Wilson whom he met in Germany while on tour.

In addition to his wife he is survived by:

Daughter - Abigail Nieters

Son - Timothy Wilson

Grandchildren - Daisy Nieters, Cora Poliette, Autumn Nieters, Daniel Nieters Jr., Noah Nieters, Dylan Wilson, and Matthew Wilson

Great-Grandchildren: Jace Poliette and Everleigh Poliette

Randell has now joined his two sons in heaven, Charlie and Andrew Wilson.
