Mary Alice (nee Schwent) Stackle
Age 86, born on July 4, 1937 in Lawrenceton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 27th, 2023 while surrounded by family.
Mary married Glennon Joseph Stackle on December 17, 1955. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year.
Mary was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She played music with a folk christian band and traveled to nursing homes providing entertainment for their residents. She was an avid quilter, making many beautiful quilts over the course of her life. She was a faithful parishioner of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping with her family and took many adventurous trips across the United States with her husband Glennon and many friends.
Survived by loving husband Glennon Stackle, son Jeffery Stackle, son Scott (Laura) Stackle, and daughter Luann (Richard) Weiss. Grand children Jason (Ashley) Stackle, Rachel (Nathan) Linderer, Sarah Stackle, Melissa (Daniel) Burgdorf, Erin (Scott) Carrico, Jeremy Weiss, Rheanne Weiss and 6 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by father Harry Schwent, mother Elizabeth (nee Kirchner) Schwent, sister Rita Zerwig, and two brothers Leon Schwent, and Virgil Schwent.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., Hillsboro, Missouri 63050.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 703 3rd St., Hillsboro, MO 63050
A procession to her final resting place will follow the Funeral Mass and lead to Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery.
Luncheon to follow at Knights of Columbus Hall, 9330 Old Missouri 21, Hillsboro, Missouri 63050.
