Lester Harold Doerner

Lester Harold Doerner, 75, of Hillsboro Missouri. passed away at his home on January 25, 2024. Born in Princeton, Indiana, on January 30, 1948, to Beverly and Audrey Doerner (nee Lecocq). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years Terry Leah Doerner (nee Hurtgen), and his in-laws Robert and Shirley Hurtgen.

Survived by his sons Robert (Traci) Doerner and Douglas Doerner, His daughter Amanda (Kate) Ward, two grandsons Robbie and Nick Doerner, and three siblings Richard, Patricia, and Teresa Doerner.

After graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1966, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1973, and upon his discharge, Lester began his career at Jefferson.County surveying. Actively involved in youth sports, he also enjoyed feeding animals, wildlife photography, antiquing, using his woodworking skills to craft canes, and making new friends.
