Retired Police Lieutenant, John Wesley Williams, age 60, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away at his home in Hillsboro on February 6, 2021, He was born May 2, 1960, in St. Louis. John and his wife, Theresa of 23 years were married on November 30, 1997, in Hillsboro. John graduated from St. Louis Police Academy and served in law enforcement for 32 years for the cities of Pagedale, Pine Lawn, Country Club Hills, Kimmswick, and Hillsboro, Missouri.
John was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fanatic and greatly enjoyed fishing and drinking Diet Cherry Pepsi.
He is survived by his wife Theresa (nee Sturgeon) Williams of Hillsboro, Missouri, his children, Marc Robert Williams, Elizabeth Marie Williams, Adam Wesley Williams, and Sara Sophia Williams all of Hillsboro, Missouri. His brother, Richard (Sheri) Williams of Arnold, Missouri, and sister, Julia Sontag of Overland, Missouri. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret (nee Ward) Williams, and brother-in-law, James Sontag.
Services: Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Hillsboro Civic Center, 10349 Highway 21, Hillsboro, Missouri 63050. Funeral Service, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 9700 Zion Lutheran Church Road, Hillsboro, Missouri visitation from 10:00 A.M. until service time beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
