James Golden

James "Kevin" Golden, age 62 of DeSoto went to meet his heavenly Father on Friday, January 5, 2024.

The world is a darker place without his shining light, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; his sister, Brooke (Dave) Baker; his children: Jason (Michelle), Paula, Terri, Jamie, Jenny (Steve), Carrie (Jeff), James "Jim Bob" (Kellie), and Ashley (Adam); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.

In addition to his family and friends, Kevin loved cooking, playing guitar, Bible study, fishing, church activities such as children's prayer and the Walk through Bethlehem. He also enjoyed golf, gardening, and competitive lawn mowing.

He believed in nourishing bodies as well as spirits, and in honor of this we ask that in lieu of flowers you consider donating to the Morse Mill Baptist Church School Lunch Program, which works tirelessly to ensure that school-aged children are fed regardless of their family circumstances.

Services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Morse Mill Baptist Church, 6955 State Road B, Dittmer, Missouri 63023

Visitation is from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm; Service at noon.

Burial to follow at Cowan Cemetery, Lowndes, Missouri
