Gregory Young

Gregory Tyrone Young, age 71, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Imperial, Missouri. He was born on November 18, 1951, in Saint Louis, Missouri. Gregory was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

Throughout his life, Gregory was known for his passions and interests. He enjoyed fishing and dirt track racing. He was an avid supporter of the Cardinal baseball team and treasured his Orange 1941 Ford Coupe. he enjoyed storytelling and loved sharing tales with others. He especially adored spending time with his grandkids and attending their sporting events.

In addition to his love for sports and storytelling, Gregory found joy in activities such as mushroom hunting and participating in waffle ball teams. He also had a deep appreciation for Kansas City Chiefs Football Team.  He enjoyed bowling, and going out for breakfast. He took pleasure in watching game shows and episodes of Judge Judy. He also had an affinity for scary movies and dirty jokes.

Gregory is survived by his loving wife Deborah Young (nee Colaw), whom he married on October 2, 2015, in Hillsboro, Missouri. He leaves behind his daughter Mary Jo Young and his stepchildren Christine Estes, Heath Estes, and Corey Estes. Gregory will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Alexis (Collin) Modglin, Colten Young, Michael Simmons, Robbie Simmons, domonick  McEntire, Brandon Bailey, Logan Lynch, Payton Estes, Raegen Estes, Samantha Estes, and Bentlee Estes. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Adriana, Amayah, Kesleigh, and Harper.

He was preceeded in death by his two Daughter's Angie Young and Lisa Young, and his Parents Robert and Betty Jo Young.

Gregory's memorial services will be held at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Inc located at 103 4th Street, Hillsboro, MO 63050, Memorial Gathering scheduled to take place on July 2, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a Memorial Service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
