Doug Eugene Steighorst

Doug Eugene Steighorst, age 67, of Hillsboro died on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at home with his wife and children, and other family by his side. He was born on February 8, 1956, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He was the son of the late Edward Eugene and Marilyn Mae (Hagenbaumer) Steighorst. He enjoyed hunting, camping, golfing, and watching college sports. However, his favorite pastime was fishing. He spent many years passing on his love of fishing to his children and family.

He is survived by: his wife, Terry Steighorst of Hillsboro; and two children: Michael (Maranda) Steighorst and Megan (Isaiah) Winkelmann. He is also survived by his mother Marilyn Steighorst, his brother Mark (Pam) Steighorst, and his sister Kay (Steve) Dunn; grand-daughter, Malia Steighorst; nieces Kaylin, Kara, and Brooke; and nephews Blake and Blair; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Steighorst.

Visitation-Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 3-8pm at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Inc.

Funeral Service-Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11am in the funeral home chapel.
