Doris Mae (nee McClain) Thone

Age 90, of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away on May 17, 2023 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City, Missouri. Born June 11, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to her late parents Bryan McClain and Elizabeth (nee Hinck) McClain. Doris worked as a Bookkeeper and after her third retirement, she enjoyed quilting, volunteer work for St. Vincent De Paul, reading romance novels and playing cards with friends. She is a dear Great Grandmother and Aunt and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by:

Daughters - Linda (the late Milton) Els, Deborah (Ed) Schafer

Grandchildren: Janis (Andy) Tuck of Overland Park, KS, James Els of Hillsboro, MO, Matt Cage of Cadet, MO, Aaron and Ryan Schafer of Hillsboro

She is preceded in death by: Her husband Donald Thone, and son-in-law Milton Els.

Funeral Visitation: 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, May 22, 2023 Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Missouri

Funeral Mass: 10:00am Tuesday, May 23, 2023 Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Hillsboro, Missouri

Interment: Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Afton, Missouri
