Donald Gene Gau Sr.

Donald Gene Gau Sr. age, 77, of Festus died August 19, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Born July 9, 1945 in St. Louis he was the son of the late Irvin and Mamie (Younker) Gau.  Don enjoyed beekeeping, fishing, hunting, rendezvousing, being outdoors and spending time with family, friends and waving to his neighbors on Stroup Road. He retired as a maintenance worker from Carondelet Foundry Corporation.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary  Gau (nee Miller), His three children; Donnie (Jeannette) Gau, Chris (Shonda) Gau and Teresa Gau (Brian Sucharski), six grandchildren; Ryan, Adam, Dakota, Gabby Gau, Ryke and Ryli VanderMeulen, four great grandchildren; Ryan, Aaron, Balian and Mabry Gau and a sister Carol Gau. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was proceeded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Gau and two sisters, Margaret Gau and Karen Tindal.

Visitation: will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022,  from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro

Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Peaceful Meadows , Hillsboro, Missouri
