Donald "Don" Clay Wofford Jr.

Donald Clay Wofford, Jr., born August 21, 1956 in Dunkerton, IA, went home to be with his Lord on March 16, 2022, at his home in Hillsboro, MO.

Don honorably served in the United States Navy from Jan. 1974 until July 1977 aboard the U.S.S. Farragut DDG-37. He achieved the rank of radioman 2nd class.
Don was the owner of Best Construction, LLC and had worked as a contractor since 1983. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Heather Marie Wofford, and parents Donald Sr. and Hazel (Petersen) Wofford.
He is survived by his soulmate, Sherry Hahn of Hillsboro, Heather's mother, Linda Wofford of O'Fallon, MO, sister Charlene Custer of St. Louis, brothers Dennis (Cathy) Wofford of Imperial and Dirk Wofford of St. Louis and sister Carmen Wyatt of St. Louis, nieces Jennifer Custer, Julie Custer, Sara Wofford, and nephew Gary Custer. Brother-in-law of Sandra, Keith(Robin) and Scott (Lisa).

Graveside service- Tuesday, April 05, 2022, at 2 pm at Jefferson Barrack's National Cemetery, St Louis, Missouri. We will gather at the Ordinance Shelter Pavillion at Sylvian Springs Park off of Sheridan Rd, directly across from the cemeteries receiving gate. the lead car will pull through the park pavilion area at 1:55 pm and line up cars for the short procession to the main cemetery entrance.
