Charles E. Smreker Sr, 88 of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away on
August 2, 2021, in Hillsboro, Missouri. Born July 6, 1933, in
Hartman Arkansas. He was raised and graduated High School in Hartman.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955, He married Frances
E. Key on September 2, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri. He along with his
brother co-founded Arnold Ready Mix. In 1963. He moved to the
Hillsboro area in 1969 and remained until his passing.
He was co-founder of Eureka Materials and H Sand and Gravel.
A member of Good Shepherd Church, Hillsboro Knights of Columbus
6401, Elks Lodge # 689, DeSoto, Amvets Post # 48, De Soto,
and the Hillsboro Community Civic Club.

Wife- Frances E. "Jean" Smreker (nee Key) of Hillsboro, Missouri.
Son- Charles E. “Chuck” (Mary “Chris”) Smreker of De Soto, Missouri.
Son- Richard D. Smreker of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Son- Mark S. (Christine Bruce) Smreker of Hillsboro, Missouri.
Daughter- Mary Susan Smreker of Hillsboro, Missouri.
Grandchildren- Christyn D. (Jeff) Sweeney, Michael J. (Ellisa) Bradford,
Charla J. (Tyson) Duvall, Addison G. Smreker, Justice, Taylor, and Easton
Smreker, Anthony R. "TJ” (Cassie) Smreker Jr., Kailey (Josh) Davis,
Mary, Joseph, Teresa and John Smreker-Bruce, and Shelby Smreker.
Great Grandchildren- Tyler, Kaden, Carlie, Zach, Tristen, Kaleb,
Mikayla, Angie, Bri, Bryce, Ryan, Jacob, Emma, Chloe, Hunter,
Gavin, and Jasper.

Visitation: Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 11 am until 2 pm at the
“Civic Center” on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. 10349

The funeral service will begin at 2 pm, interment will follow at
Good Shepherd Cemetery.
