Betty J. Whitney, (nee Lee) (Formerly Speer)

Age 88 of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away on February 4, 2022, in St. Louis County, Missouri. She was born on March 27, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri. She worked at Spielberg Manufacturing for several years. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith, loved to camp, fish, and play Bingo. She greatly enjoyed crocheting while she listened to her favorite country singer Conway Twitty. She loved to spend time with family and friends and was especially fond of her dog Petey.

Survived by:

Son- Norman L. (Debbie) Speer of House Springs, Missouri.

Daughter- Norma Jean (Tim) Gray of Cuba, Missouri.

Son- Russell Dean Speer of St. Francois County, Missouri.

Son- Robert “Butch” (Barb) Speer of Franklin County, Missouri.

Sister- Ruth Pritchett of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Also a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by:

Parents- Jessie and Lillian Lee (nee Hahn).

Husband- Norman Eugene Speer.

Husband- Rev. Dr. Kenneth Whitney.

Visitation- Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm

at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth Street, Hillsboro, Missouri, 63050.

Funeral- Wednesday, follows the visitation and begins at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Interment- Follows The funeral service at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart, Missouri.

Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory would be appreciated.
