Benny "Ben" Ray Wright

Benny Ray Wright "Ben" age 86, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away on June 02, 2023, at his home.

He was born on August 14, 1936, in St Louis to his parents, the late John and Katherine Wright.

Ben and his wife Glenda of 64 years were married on September 18, 1958, in Waterloo, Il.

He was a retired St. Louis City Firefighter with over 25 years of service. He earned a commendation of Firefighter of the year for his heroic act of saving the lives of several children in a working structure fire. He was a longtime Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hillsboro, Missouri. Ben and his wife enjoyed traveling. He was avid with construction of any type.

He is survived by:

Wife-Glenda Wright (nee Ward), of De Soto, Missouri

Daughter-Lorna (Charles) Sebastian, of De Soto, Missouri

Grandchildren -Katy, Jonathan, Faith, Anna, Mary, Mariah.

Great Grandchildren -Ava, Raegan, Benny, Noah, Elizabeth, Ethan.

Visitation: Thursday June 8, 2023, from 9:00am to 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hillsboro, Missouri.

Funeral Service: Thursday June 8, 2023, from 11:00am to 12:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hillsboro, Missouri.

Burial: Jefferson Barrack's National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
