Life Legacy
Veda Black (nee Phillips) age 94 of Hillsboro Missouri, passed away January
17, 2010 in Festus Missouri. She was born in Van Burean Arkansas, November 27,
1915.
Vita was an accomplished artist and enjoyed giving painting lessons, active in
many Civic Organizations including the ladies action group, Beta Sigma Phi
Sorority as well as a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
Survived by:
Daughter- Mary Lou (Paul) Cowie, Hillsboro Missouri.
Granddaughter- Anne (Kevin) Paulsell, Springfield Missouri.
Grandson- Paul (Christine) Cowie, Hillsboro Missouri.
Sister- Louise Boworski, Nashville Tenn.
Eight Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Preceded in death by:
Husband- Bob Black
Parents- William J. and Susan G. Phillips (nee Stevenson).
Seven Brothers and Sisters.
She will be honored at the 11:00 AM service on Sunday February 14, 2010 at
Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Hillsboro Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hillsboro United Methodist Church appreciated.
